Magnolia Avenue Salon loves color, that's why the color bar is in the center, or heart, of the salon. The reasoning for this design element is simple, no mirrors at the color bar (no one looks good with a million foils in their head) and everyone has the right to know what's on their head. what is block color?
A style is naked without color and color can be flat without dimension. Block Color is a coloring technique where color placement is designed in a marriage to the haircut. This allows for both cut and color to work in unison instead of being separate art forms. After 28 years of doing hair, Donna is one of very few stylists who didn’t changed salons often.
With that came a clientele that she has grown up with, had babies with and been through good and bad. They truly are her friends. What could be better than to come to work and spend the day talking, laughing and crying (if needed) with good friends? Tim and Donna were fortunate to be educated at One Hair Place School of Hair Design where the owner Windol McDade, gave us the base knowledge of the art of hair design and love for the industry.

With over 30 years experience in the salon business, Tim still loves to do hair.
Tim has been fortunate to work with some of the greatest Hair Stylists and Makeup Artists in his career. He apprenticed with Norman Zapien at New York City Salon in Atlanta, Georgia. He also had the opportunity to assist Paul Mitchell and Jean Braa on the road promoting Paul Mitchell Products and Education. They inspired him to set his sights high.
He has spent time in Paris, France pursuing Hair and Makeup for fashion. He then finally settled in Dallas, Texas and opened his first salon. During the eighties and nineties, Tim produced and directed Fashion Shows and pursued a career in Hair and Makeup for fashion, film, video and still print photography.
With Magnolia Avenue Salon, he and his wife Donna set out to create a salon that was special. We specialize in Hair Cutting and Coloring. We only hire the best and brightest and accept nothing less. We grow our own talent by offering continued education and driving our apprentices and stylists to be their best, and we offer the best customer service. Magnolia Avenue Salon has met and exceeded our greatest hopes.

We chose for Magnolia Avenue Salon to be a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon because I was around when Paul Mitchell and John Paul Dejoria started their company, and I found their vision and commitment to our industry to be inspiring.
Although we lost Paul in 1989, John Paul, Angus Mitchell and their Team continue to inspire us with the best Education, Hair Products and Hair Color in the industry. I am very proud of our salon, our staff and the level of talent that we have assembled.
I would put our salon team up against any other. Most of all I am proud of our salon guests, they are the most wonderful and loyal people that I have had the privilege to serve.
T.j. has made quite a name for himself in the DFW area. A former educator for Sebastian/Wella and Aveda, T.j. is excited to share his knowledge of all things hair with you.
Trained in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and London, England, T.j. knows how to match the perfect color/cut for you and your lifestyle. T.j. considers doing hair his life-blood and would like to get to know you and make sure you are comfortable before he gets his hands in your hair.
At home, T.j. loves to watch movies with his wife and read. He is a fan of fashion and writing.
Cheyenne loves the ever-changing aspect of the hair industry and would love to put her creative touch on the masterpiece she creates for you.
Cheyenne loves to meet new people and meet their hair needs. Wedding hair and makeup are some of her favorite services to perform in salon. She also has great extension skills. Call the salon to reserve a service with Cheyenne.
Spending time with her family is what she likes to do when she is not in the salon. Reading and shopping are also some of her hobbies.
As a 3rd generation hair stylist and educator, Richard was literally born into this industry. His passion for hair has lead him to join the Paul Mitchell Education team where he has been trained by some of the top names in the industry.
With his education background, Richard heads up the classes and seminars that the team participates in on a regular basis to further their skills. Richard looks forward to working with you and teaching you how to maintain and recreate your look at home.
Richard has joined the team at the Paul Mitchell School Arlington as a learning leader. Richard will be able to recruit the best and the brightest from that school to join the team at the salon. He is very excited about this next step in his career.
Richard likes to spend his free time pursuing his dream of owning a clothing/outfitter company for the hair industry. He also loves to hang out with his son Oliver, watch movies with his wife Amy, leather crafting and working on his classic car with his father.
Amy loves doing hair and the relationships she builds with her clients. Amy has trained in New York and Las Vegas in the newest trends and products. Her make-up skills are top notch and she specializes in wedding looks. Seven years in the business has made her ability to communicate with those who sit in her chair flawless. She can translate your vision into reality.
She enjoys teaching the New Talent at the salon and helping with the day-to-day needs of the salon.
When Amy is at home she enjoys snuggling up with her son Oliver and reading. Gardening with her husband and dog Wylie keeps her busy outside the salon.

Bianca has joined our team from the Ogle School of Hair Design. She is apprenticing under the direction of the senior staff and undergoing continuing education to become a stylist at Magnolia Avenue Salon. Bianca gives a wonderful shampoo and blow dry
Hair Cutting, Coloring, Makeup and Hair Extensions are some of Bianca's favorite services to do in salon. She is certified in extension and eyelash tabbing.
Her passion in this industry is solidified by her philosophy of making people feel that they can take on the world. She loves the fact that you can change an entire concept just by accentuating or removing.
In her free time, Bianca loves to sculpt, paint and craft.
The ever-changing styles and trends in the hair industry are what keep Desirai excited. Her passion is what led her to Magnolia Avenue Salon. Desirai has joined us from Ogle School of Hair Design and has been doing hair for 2 years now.
Color, Makeup and Hair Extensions are some of Desirai's favorite services to offer. She was awarded 1st place in an updo contest in school and loves to assist in Wedding styles and Make up.
When at home, Desirai loves to attend car shows, watch football (GO COWBOYS!), reading trend magazines and spending time with her family and friends.
Jenna has joined the Magnolia Avenue Salon team as our Reservationist. She's the bright voice you hear on the phone when you call us.
Growing up in a hair salon has given Jenna a heads up on the ongoing nature of this business. While not a stylist, Jenna is a Shampoo Apprentice and loves to be a model for our stylists when they want to try new methods and techniques.
Jenna is currently enrolled at Tarrant County College and is working on her veterinary medicine degree.
While at home, Jenna enjoys dancing, animals and doing home work.
